School and Enterprise Join Hands, Smart New Journey | DDTOP Group and Harbin Institute of Technology Deep Technical Exchange Successfully Held

2026-01-12

Technology empowers industries, and collaboration drives innovation. On January 9, 2026, Jiang Guicheng and Sun Enwei, Deputy Directors of the Institute of Precision Acousto-Optic Instruments at Harbin Institute of Technology, visited DDTOP Group to conduct in-depth technical exchange activities.

Zhang Yiding, General Manager of DDTOP Group, along with Deputy General Managers Li Zujun and Guo Yonggang, R&D Center Deputy Director Guo Yingchun, and relevant R&D engineers, participated throughout the event. The two parties engaged in lively discussions on key topics such as core technology R&D and the application of research outcomes, laying a solid foundation for collaborative innovation between academia and industry.

At the start of the exchange, guided by the DDTOP Group team, the expert team from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) conducted an on-site inspection of the company’s production workshops and the old factory’s laboratory to examine the production and R&D status of core products. In the production workshop, the team provided a detailed introduction to the full production and assembly process of magnetostrictive level gauges, covering every stage from core component processing and modular assembly to final product debugging. This showcased DDTOP’s rigorous manufacturing processes and quality control system in the field of precision instrument production. Subsequently, both parties visited the old factory to inspect the laboratory layout and the installation and calibration equipment for ultrasonic transducers. They gained a thorough understanding of the equipment’s operational principles, performance metrics, and application scenarios, laying a solid foundation for subsequent technical exchanges.

As the preferred equipment in industrial liquid level measurement, magnetostrictive level gauges are widely used in petrochemical, natural gas, nuclear, shipbuilding, and water treatment industries due to their millimeter-level measurement accuracy, non-contact design, and strong environmental adaptability. The innovative application of piezoelectric ceramic principles will further enhance their performance limits, becoming one of the key topics discussed at the conference. During the event, Associate Professors Jiang Guicheng and Sun Enwei detailed the research findings of the piezoelectric ceramic magnetostrictive project, analyzed technical roadmap planning, and shared professional insights on technical challenges and corresponding solutions at each R&D stage. Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on acceptance standards for complete systems and individual stages, clarifying key performance indicators and testing methods. They also reached preliminary cooperation consensus on how DDTOP’s R&D team can deeply integrate into Harbin Institute of Technology’s R&D process to achieve efficient industry-academia collaboration.

Gas ultrasonic transducer technology emerged as another key focus of the discussion. With escalating industrial safety and environmental protection requirements, gas ultrasonic detection technology has seen growing demand in pipeline monitoring and leak detection applications, owing to its non-invasive nature, rapid response, and high precision. Drawing on their project experience, two experts provided a comprehensive overview of the technical principles, R&D challenges, and industry applications of gas ultrasonic transducers. The participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on the technical feasibility of DDTOP Group’s transducer development, exchanging insights on core material selection, structural design optimization, and performance testing validation. This exchange offered valuable professional guidance for DDTOP to expand its technical capabilities and enrich its product portfolio.

This collaboration not only facilitated in-depth exchanges between academia and industry in core technology fields, but also precisely aligned corporate R&D needs with university research strengths. The profound scientific expertise of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in precision instrumentation, combined with DDTOP Group’s extensive practical experience in industrial applications, creates complementary advantages. This synergy lays a solid foundation for multi-dimensional cooperation in joint R&D, technology transfer, and talent development.

Going forward, DDTOP Group will steadfastly uphold its innovation-driven development philosophy. By deepening industry-academia-research collaboration with universities, the group will fully integrate scientific resources and industrial strengths to focus on core technology breakthroughs. This will drive iterative upgrades in precision instrument products, injecting fresh innovation momentum into the industry’s high-quality development. We look forward to this exchange serving as a springboard for both parties to jointly pioneer a new chapter in university-enterprise cooperation, building a high ground for technological innovation together!
